FALL BLUE JAY BASEBALL PROGRAM EXPLAINED:
NOTICE -CHANGE OF PLANS- RE READ
The fall tryouts for 2011 Texas Blue Jays summer season will consist of several Sunday
evening workout/practices for all tryouts. Some of the teams will play in weekend
tournaments and some of the teams will play sunday BBI league doubleheaders starting
september 12 running through Oct 24 at Colt Field in NRH. Game times for sunday
doubleheaders are 12-2, 2-4, 4-6, 6-8 pm. All tournaments will be in the area except for
17u teams who will probably play one tournament at Texas State or Temple college. The
fall season will be over by late October. Players trying out are required to play in at least
two of the tournaments for evaluation. All tryout players will be allowed to play in the fall
for evaluation unless there are to many in numbers. Footballers are required to play in at
least two of the tournaments or league games on Sundays to secure a roster spot. It is
understood that you are not guaranteed to make the team so participation in other team
tryouts in understandable in case you don't make our squad. The idea if for us to form a
AAA or major level talent team for summer 2011. Coach Teakell will be conducting the
tryouts for 13/14/15 age teams and players trying out for existing 16 and 17 teams will
conduct tryouts for existing coaches. Probable fall fees are around $300 to $400 per
player depending on exactly what we do. ( prices not set in concrete just approximate cost)
Players get two shirts, one cap, supply everything else. Matching batting helments not
required in fall.

I would like to announce that we started the Blue Jay program 1999 for Toby and Trey at
the ages of 7 and 8. Toby is a senior and we have reached out first graduating class of
players, some who have played for me a long time and who later moved into the Cats
program. Most of them have signed with colleges this year. I would like to recognize them
